Something is hurting. You may have tried to push through it, think your way out of it, or wait for it to pass. If that hasn’t worked, you’re in the right place.
You might be here because… #
- Anxiety or depression is limiting your life
- A relationship is struggling—with a partner, a family member, or yourself
- You’re carrying trauma that won’t stay in the past
- Grief, shame, or self-criticism feels relentless
- An addiction or compulsion keeps pulling you back
- You feel stuck, numb, or disconnected—and you don’t know why
A different kind of counseling #
Most therapy puts the therapist in the expert role: diagnosing, advising, interpreting. Internal Family Systems (IFS) works differently. Rather than fixing you from the outside, IFS helps you access your own inner capacity for healing.
You have parts—inner voices, feelings, and patterns that developed for good reasons. IFS treats them with curiosity instead of judgment. The goal isn’t to silence the hard parts of yourself. It’s to understand them, and in doing so, free yourself from what’s been holding you back.
IFS is evidence-based and trauma-informed.
Sessions are by video or phone. Joshua is Oregon-based and works with clients worldwide—no geographic restrictions.
Meet your counselor #
Joshua Pritikin is warm, direct, and genuinely curious about people. He holds a Ph.D. in psychology, is IFS Level 3 Certified, and brings more than 30 years of meditation to the work. Clients often say they feel heard in a way they haven’t before.
What to expect from a free consultation #
The consultation is a 20-minute conversation—no pressure, no commitment. You share a little about what’s brought you here. Joshua explains how he works. Together you decide if it’s a good fit.
There’s nothing to prepare. You just show up.
